FOR ORGANISATIONS

Best CSR Integrated Business

This award will honour the organisations that embed CSR as an integral part of the way they do business and implement CSR programmes that have a significant impact and are sustainable in all appropriate areas of operations. The organisations should also demonstrate their positive impact on their stakeholders, peers and communities.

Best NGO/NPO Award

This category aims to celebrate and reward the best non-governmental and non-profit organisations by showcasing examples of best practice and successful programme delivery. The NGOs and NPOs should demonstrate how their programmes and initiatives are aligned to the social needs and how they meet their objectives. It is important to also show NGOs and NPOs engage and with work with the corporate sector.

FOR PROGRAMMES / INTIATIVES

Best CSR Impact Initiative

The award recognizes outstanding programmes and initiatives that can demonstrate significant sustainable impact that are measurable and innovative. The programme under this category does not have to fall under the other categories. The outstanding program must be making a substantive and impactful difference on the community, economy or environment.

Best Social Entrepreneurship Award

This award honors organisations who have CSR programmes and initiatives that help build young entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs and innovators with a social strategy. Empowering young social entrepreneurial minds, SMEs, and start-ups is high on the agenda of many companies and countries in the region since it has significant positive impact on local economies and communities.

Best Community Development Award

This category acknowledges programmes that demonstrate the development and progression of the local community. These initiatives can include:

  • Youth engagement programmes
  • Disability focused programmes
  • Poverty alleviation programmes
  • Cultural programmes
  • Social entrepreneurship programmes

Best Women Empowerment Award

This award honors programmes and initiatives that develop women in their local community and business world. Empowering female individuals, entrepreneurs and professionals is high on the regional agenda and has significant positive impact on local economies and communities. These programmes can address: development of women entrepreneurs; enable women's economic empowerment; provide access to business skills training; offer business opportunities for women; and innovative women development initiatives.

Best Education Improvement Award

This category acknowledges initiatives that promote education through skills training of employees, community and other stakeholders. These initiatives can address: access to quality education; development of higher level of skills and capabilities; education; illiteracy; women inclusion in education; development/improvement of educational facilities and technologies; promotion of teacher-training; and promotion of academic learning through partnerships.

Best Employment Generation Award

This category acknowledges initiatives that support the generation of employment and job opportunities for the region's workforce and young professionals. These initiatives can address pressing issues like: improving prospects for unemployed youth; providing guidance to new business start-ups; expanding entrepreneurship; empowering new graduates and youth with real-life skills to be successful on the job and in society; creating partnerships with universities, NGOs, government bodies or other corporates to address the issue of unemployment.

Best Environmental Sustainability Award

This category acknowledges initiatives that focus on protecting and preserving the environment. These initiatives can address pressing issues like: prevention of pollution; sustainable use of resources; green procurement and supply chain; management of environmental footprint; and protection of the environment and biodiversity.
